Vice President of Finance
Through skill-building workshops, professional speakers, and networking events, Women in Business (WIB) enables women to excel by giving women the resources and the opportunities to network successfully in the professional world while building long-lasting, supportive relationships with other UO students. Provoking thought and facilitating intentional exercises in a low risk and supportive environment will help WIB members break boundaries within themselves and the greater business world.
What You’ll Do
Manage the financial and membership records of WIB
Maintaining a balanced budget, approving club expenditures, and managing reimbursements based on the WIB and LCB procedures
Submit an financial report to the faculty advisor and LCB at the end of the academic year
Works closely with the Vice President to plan budgets and itineraries for site visits and other major events
Creates and monitors the ASUO proposal process and budget
Manages membership records and dues for daily operating expenses
Responsible for attending DCICC (Deans Council for Inter-Club Coordination) meetings

Open to all majors, strong academic qualifications
Regular attendee of WIB events (weekly meetings, networking events, socials, etc.)
Passion for women empowerment and academic / professional development
Highly collaborative, and a specialist in balancing a variety of needs across the club
Proven attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to influence decisions through sound analysis and effective communication
Ideal Qualifications
Experience with Excel
Proven ability of effective communication with professionals
Passion for the finance sector; relevant aspirations for a future finance career
